The concept for the Brivon Residences aimed to create a high-quality residential development in one of Buda’s most valuable locations, offering not merely apartments but a new way of life. The fundamental ambition was to design a distinctive and individual residential complex of international standard, representing a level of quality rarely found on the Hungarian property market.

The concept began with a critical reassessment of the existing structural frame. The aim was to create a more articulated composition of smaller-scale building volumes that would respond more sensitively to the surrounding urban fabric, improve visual permeability and establish a more harmonious rhythm within the cityscape. Breaking down the mass of the development also enhances the quality of the apartments by providing façades facing multiple directions, improved daylight conditions, a greater variety of views and more individual floor-plan configurations.

The intended value of the residential complex is defined by four principal qualities: private landscaped areas connected to Buda’s green environment; proximity to the city and panoramic views; uncompromising architectural and construction quality; and a high level of services and security. The project is therefore conceived not simply as a building, but as a comprehensive residential environment.

The development study explored several possible design alternatives in search of the optimum solution. The analyses aimed to balance architectural quality, integration into the cityscape and real-estate development value, providing a sound basis for selecting the most appropriate concept for further design development.
