GTC - The HUB
Budapest, Hungary | 2021-2023 | 54 168 m² | Plan
The complex functional programme of the proposed office and residential buildings responds simultaneously to business and housing needs while adapting to the scale and operation of the surrounding urban fabric. The office building comprises three basement parking levels, a ground floor and seven upper floors, while the two residential buildings include two basement parking levels, ground-floor parking and nine upper floors. The design seeks to balance efficient land use, clear functional organisation and user comfort.
The proposed underground car parks perform a dual role: they provide the parking capacity required by residents, employees and visitors, while also helping to reduce pressure on the surrounding urban transport network. Of the total 882 parking spaces, 362 are located beneath the office building and 520 within the garage levels serving the residential buildings, providing extensive and well-organised parking facilities for the development.
The location and access arrangements of the underground car parks were designed to ensure ease of use and efficient integration with the surrounding street network. The office garage can be accessed from Váci Road and Szekszárdi Street, while the underground parking serving the residential buildings is approached from Szekszárdi Street and Madarász Viktor Street. This organisation optimises the parking system and supports orderly, efficient traffic circulation around the development.
